What we keep whatever you choose
Whether you accept or refuse, this site keeps one small record in your browser's local storage of how you arrived: the page you landed on, the site that sent you here, any campaign or advert reference in the web address (for example a Google or Meta click reference), and a random visitor reference. It is not a cookie, it is not sent to anyone unless you send us an enquiry, and it is deleted after 180 days without a visit. We keep it so that, if you do enquire, we can tell which advert brought you here.
Your choice
The first time you visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Reject. Your choice is stored in your browser (local storage, not a cookie we can read elsewhere). If you accept, we keep your choice for up to 365 days (about a year) before asking again. If you refuse, we will not ask again for 183 days (about six months). If what we track changes, we ask everyone again straight away.
When you make a choice we also record a data-minimised receipt of it — the choice, the date and the version of this notice you were shown. The receipt contains no name, address, or anything else that identifies you.
